ARL presents workshops and events throughout the year that focus on assessment and measurement. In addition, the LibQUAL+(TM) team hosts a number of events that are aimed more specifically at LibQUAL+(TM) participants. LibQUAL+® at Northumbria International Conference on Performance Measurement in Libraries and Information Services

LibQUAL+® participants and interested parties are invited to attend the event “Service Quality Measurement in Libraries: A LibQUAL+® Exchange,” to be held in conjunction with the 8th Northumbria International Conference on Performance Measurement in Libraries and Information Services.

The event will feature speakers from LibQUAL+®-participating libraries who will share their experiences with the survey and discuss how they used the results. In addition, we will discuss the LibQUAL+® Lite protocol and recent international initiatives.

Please consider contributing to the 2009 LibQUAL+® Share Fair.

LibQUAL+® will host the 2009 Share Fair at the ALA Annual Conference in Chicago, IL on July 13, 2009 from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

For the Share Fair, we are seeking entries that will provide poster sessions, displays, or materials related to marketing, administration, and use of LibQUAL+®. Stories about what your library did after administering the survey are encouraged. The Share Fair is a venue for learning and sharing practices.

This event is open to all past, current, and potential LibQUAL+® participants.

If you are interested in sharing information with colleagues from the LibQUAL+® community, describe your entry on the Participant Information Sheet available online at http://www.libqual.org/documents/admin/sharefair09form.doc. Please return your completed Information Sheet via e-mail to libqual@arl.org no later than June 19, 2009.

Join us for the 2009 LibQUAL+® Share Fair at the ALA Annual Conference in Chicago, IL on July 13! This informal gathering will feature brief presentations/poster sessions by past and current LibQUAL+® participants.

This event is open to all past, current, and potential LibQUAL+® participants.

The Share Fair is a venue for learning and sharing practices.

Working Effectively with LibQUAL+®

This workshop will enable staff responsible for administering the LibQUAL+® survey to develop work plans that they can apply in their libraries after they receive the survey results, including how to analyze and present results visually, identify actionable items, and much more! ARL Google Analytics Workshop

The Association of Research Libraries (ARL) Statistics and Measurement Program is offering a second full-day workshop of Google Analytics training, to be held in partnership with LunaMetrics, a Google Analytics Authorized Consultant. Google Analytics is a tool that can help you learn where your Web site visitors are coming from and how they interact with your Web pages.

Google Analytics Workshop

An opportunity to discuss the latest developments and connect with Texas, the birthplace of LibQUAL+®.

2009 Service Quality Evaluation Academy

Dates: 3/16/2009  -  3/20/2009

Site: Hotel Monteleone

Location: New Orleans, LA

The Academy is an intensive five-day program focusing on qualitative and quantitative methods for collecting and analyzing library service quality data. The program emphasizes basic concepts and skills in measurement and data analysis that will be applicable to service quality evaluations. The Academy is designed for librarians across library types and organizational structures, with a strong commitment to service quality assessment efforts.

Academic Library Evaluation as a Measure of Institutional Quality Assessment

The Association of Research Libraries, the University of Virginia Library, and the University of Washington Libraries are pleased to announce the second Library Assessment Conference: Building Effective, Sustainable, Practical Assessment, to be held at the University of Washington in Seattle.

The conference goal is to support and nurture the library assessment community through a mix of invited speakers, contributed papers and posters, workshops, and engaging discussion. The conference is geared toward library and information professionals and researchers with responsibility for or an interest in the broad field of library assessment with an emphasis on (but not limited) to North American academic libraries. It builds on the success of our first assessment conference, held in Charlottesville, September 2006.
