Dear Mr Daniels

Please help us - and make this a win-win opportunity.

As we prepare for the future of UCT Libraries, what we want most is to listen to our users.

In a few days you will receive an email providing you with a link to an electronic survey of library quality. By responding to the survey, you will provide essential information to help us plan for what you need from us.

You are part of a random sample chosen to represent all UCT staff and students. Your individual response cannot be linked to your name.

In appreciation for your time (about 12 minutes on average!), we also offer you the chance to win one of three iPod minis. If you wish to enter the draw for an iPod, complete the survey and then key in your email address at the end.

UCT is a world-class African university. This survey is based on a quality audit instrument developed in North America, also used in Europe and Australia, and now being pioneered in Africa at UCT.

We hope you will help us benchmark our services against other libraries in universities throughout the world, so that we can build the quality you deserve and need.

If you have any difficulty in accessing the survey or any questions, please contact our LibQUAL+ team at or telephone William Daniels on 650-3132 or Busisiwe Khangala on 650-3107.

Many thanks for helping us with this important project by responding to the survey.
